Porsche Fans Family Day 2019 (En)

A record number of 122 Porsche cars and more that 2000 visitors came to the Porsche Sportscar Together Day event, which was organised by Porsche Fans Slovakia to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the first registered Porsche 356 Roadster.

Great mood, great talks, music and quizzes. On Saturday, 9 June, car enthusiasts and Porsche fans came to Bratislava Castle not only from Bratislava, but also from distant parts of Slovakia and abroad.

The lower eastern terrace of the Bratislava Castle created a perfect place to see the best of the current and past production of the Stuttgart-based automaker.

The moderator Lea Daniš and the founder of Porsche Fans Slovakia Lukáš Turčina guided the whole course of the event, conducted interviews with car owners, current representatives of the Stuttgart brand in Slovakia and engaged visitors in quizzes and competitions. During the breaks, relaxing music was played and there was not a single deaf spot at the event. In addition, each participant received a valuable surprise, namely a gift in the form of a Porsche model.

The jewels of the 70th birthday celebration were two original Porsche 356B models. The coupe imported from California charmed with its original condition and the cabrio version surprised with its history. It served the Austrian police and accompanied government visits. Speed enthusiasts were captivated by Porsche’s current sharpest model, the 700 hp 911 GT2 RS supersport. Connoisseurs and classic lovers will have noticed the 912, a rare 4-cylinder model in our country. Apart from it, they have had the opportunity to see all generations of the 911. There was also the entire Porsche model range with the transaxle concept. The 911 modified by Lightspeed Classic also attracted special attention.

In the afternoon, a cavalry of Porsche models set off on a celebratory drive around Bratislava’s Old Town. The event officially ended at Pezinska Baba, where the most loyal participants enjoyed traditional Slovak cuisine.
